I'm not sure what Lichen is, but it doesn't sound good.
I'm pretty sure there are nurseries around here that sell Douglas Firs. I'll hunt around.

I think I've heard of BIO-Gold before. I'll see if I can find it around here.

Sankastaff,
I suppose I'll try peeling some of the bark off the Pine trees around here. Do you know of any Bonsai clubs in our area?
