Yes we dug them, but with a crow bar and pruning sheers. They were growing is pockets of sandstone. Some of the roots were under different rocks so we had to use the crowbar and move the stones and expose the roots. A couple of the trees had the root pad right underneath while a others had the roots 3-5 feet away.
