BTW Al,
When I was in Japan they had some FANTASTIC little shohin Forsythia with short stubby trunks. They were $30!! in little B&B's
I bought one and talked John Quinn into buying one!
I bare rooted it in the hotel bath tub and wrapped in sphagnum with my other trees. It died off slowly piece by piece the next spring.
But, I think Johns did well.
