Matt: You keep throwing this stuff at me. Any one can go out into an old olive field and dig up a stump. Believe me there are groves of older olives in the fresno area that were started by early settlers and farmers that are collectable. When you make a tree out of this material it is still a stump with a big hole carved into it. Yes yes there are exceptions but not many. Our goal is not to achieve a large trunk only. Artist ready material must have roots, nebari, tapor, limb structure and most important, choices. I do not show trees and I do not covet what other people have I only grow trees.
