Ah, finally a chance to disagree with the judges!!!
This is the fun part!

I think that Karl did a fantastic job with the foliage here, and because I won't vote for my own entry (and because I disqualified myself with the silly accent object - see below), I'd have given him the prize.
(Even though, as Al says, the sunset does nothing for the tree.)
Why?
After all, Tiny Plant has put together an another amazing display. Like his bunjin - it is hard to believe that it's not a photograph instead of a virtual! The tree itself is absolutely classic, beautifully styled. My problem with his entry is the pot. Putting a old clump-style maple in a pot that deep is a big mistake, in my opinion. Other than that, fantastic virtual! Tiny Plant, would you consider writing a tutorial for the rest of us about how you make these? (Oh, and by the way - is that you on the dirt bike in your two avatar shots?)
And now for the
serious disagreement.

OMC, Love that fall canopy. The yellow color is great. Very nice stand too! Accent can out of scale with stand!

Not at all, Al! That's not an ordinary-sized can, that's a Foster's Oil Can, so named because it's the size of an oil can.
(And for those of you who missed it, what better accent object for an
oil spill nebari than the oil can itself?)
All the best,
Old Mister Crow
