Cut with Hyuga to lighten the soil (improve summer care), not to reduce the cost of repotting. I have always found it interesting that folks will spend $10s, $100s or even $1000s on trees and pots and will try and save $1 or $2 on bonsai soil. We've all done it, I have learned it is not worth it. John
