Rules schmules, it doesn't make a difference here. I don't know what rule or rules you supposedly violated. All I know is that you have been trying to make a difference---and that's what I am trying to do. Ron's partially right, it's not a big deal but in the broader scheme of things it is a big deal in that something significant gets shared then lost. That's akin to finding a way to make an automobile run on tap water and then lose the formula. I am trying not to be overly critical of the chat room, not any more so than those who say the newbies get hammered in the public forum.
But one truth remains unresolved; there are things that should be put in the public forum, especially if they are going to be referenced there. Those are the things that go beyond friendly and maybe idle conversation and accelerate into things of importance. These are things important to someone who may not visit the chat room regularly or not be there when the discussion takes place. When something is posted here it has a shelf life that goes on as long as the band width does not run out and is accessible through a search function.
