Apparently clay fairies have no bones in their arms.
I always pictured a clay fairy sort of spattered with clay, barefoot, and with her hair pulled back so it doesn't get singed in the kiln. (Have you ever smelled burning hair? Did you know that it shrivels up on the ends? I speak from experience. 1900 degrees is HOT.)
