When to pot up nuresery stock in NE?
I have a Buxus and a small-leafed azalea that I purchased as rejects from a garden center. Both seem to have great promise as bonsai as they have interesting and well developed trunks.
My question is when do I first pot them up as bonsai? I have typically overwintered such plants in a cold but well-lit attic (temp about 35-50 F) and then planted in garden in Spring but this is the first time Ive wanted to use nursery stock for bonsai.
