Funny but short story:

There is a newer member in our bonsai club that had a nice old bougie in need of some jin and shari work. Completely new type person and real go getter type. One of the club members outlined the area in need of work - I think with a sharpie. She did some work at a Saturday club workshop and then took the plant home to finish it later. She brought it in at our next club meeting to gasps of horror. Apparently she forgot where to stop and removed the bark on the entire plant! An amazing feat, especially when she let us know the tool she used - a potato peeler.

So... a potato peeler?

There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas.
