You guys are being awful vague about what kind of answer you hope to receive. My first reply is not a dodge on issue but the truth of the matter: It depends on the age of the tree, the species of the tree, and in most cases how healthy the tree is, or is not. You cannot get a more specific answer without some additional input. I am not the great Karnak. Anyone telling any different with the information you have provided is giving you faulty information.
