Yes, mine is spotty - sort of here and there.

I'm beginning to think it's due to dehydration. Recently, I started watering the plant by pouring water on the soil so that it floods. The water then drains very quickly and I flood the pot again twice, so that I can be sure that the whole pot of soil is well watered. This is probably similar to the method of submerging the whole pot in water until there are no air bubbles. I also thoroughly mist the needles once a day. Since I started doing this new method of watering, the plant has not developed any more spots, and the needles look greener and more plump (if this is possible).

One side effect of this is my fertiliser cakes have become seriously mouldy. Not sure if this would harm the roots.
