I had originally bought the Kanuma for a potted azalea of mine, but doubt that I’m going to use it, if it really breaks down as fast as it seems.

Now I know why Azaleas love kanuma so much. Not only is it more acidic than other "soils", but it holds a lot more water. I have had all my azaleas potted in Kanuma and don't experience a lot of soil breakdown. I do repot every 2 years and there is some fine material in the bottom of the pot, but it does not affect drainage much. Thanks for the good work. Makes me want to do some investigations myself.
