I dunno really, but I think that if they are doing ok its one thing.....are they thriving? is another.

My parents bought the five pack of bonsai from Michigan Bulb company (I call it the Michigan dead stick company but thats my own history with them) anyhoot they managed to keep the azalea, and japanese maple, gardenia, and the wisteria alive in there house for about four years. The juniper died. But, there was absolutely no real growth, they look bad, but they are alive.


So, your friend is able to keep them alive. But are they really alive? Are they happy?
