This article is very valuable, I am new to bonsai, i have been involved with it for 1 year, I readily seek guidance from a family member who is highly experienced but I analyse something and then get feedback so my knowledge and experience is improving.

With my first selection i think it could have been a bit better, but keeping in mind what this article re-inforces, what i have learnt from experience and guidance from the family member who has been involved with bonsai for 20+ years I hope to continually improve.

Thanks for the pointers, from a beginner/novice its more than helpful.

P.S: I am going nursery crawling in a fortnight and will be sure to keep all of this in mind.
