hi andy

the trouble is with large pots, is that they can hold too much water, leading to root rot. Be sure to use a free draining medium to prevent this problem. I also have trouble growing trees in the ground, as i dont have any ground to put them in! so yes i use large pots. Pond planters are ideal, as they stop the root ball getting too large, and all the holes greatly assist drainage. if you wrap a wire around the base of the trunk, it can cause sap to pool and thicken the base, although i wouldn't recommend it as it can slow growth and may be detrimental to the tree.

Ent - here are some more- tidy 'good' , safe 'good', innit 'isnt it'.

i.e. that bonsai's safe innit?! tidy.

the welsh translation of ' dont cry over spilt milk' is 'don't lift up your skirt after
you' ve had a p*ss'

lol
