With the dressing, it is water soluable. Under daily water conditions and rain, I have to reapply about every other week.
One thing to note for those of you using nothing, a broken or removed branch is a wound. Wounds do invite disease and pests. Here in Texas, they have a problem with a fungus called oak wilt. One of the many transmission methods is a via a borer beatle that carries the fungal spores.
