Very good short work on the subject. I am always fond of your writting though. This is no exception.
Aside from all those valueable points that you make, I add one step further. Before I will buy a tree I will already have a tentative outline for the next three years at a minimum. Even if I change gears once it gets home, I want to know that I saw a future so clearly, that there was no doubt I could plan its progression for the next few years. I have managed to come home with some very nice stock that way....
And when in doubt, call your buddy in South Carolina... he'll be kind and comfirm the things you already knew to be true...
