National Arboretum trip

I just got back from a 10 day trip to Washington DC, and WOW, the National Arboretum is amazing! It was hot and humid and very few people were there. The bonsai and suiseki were more outstanding then I expected. We missed the bonsai events happening this month, but it was a last minute trip (our High Sierra Camp trip to Yosemite was snowed out).

My husband wondered if I even went to any of the memorials in DC, because all my pictures were of bonsai, rocks, and plants.

I am posting a picture of the single kusamono there. I don't know who created it but it is lovely.

I'm inspired, and only hope I can translate some of what I saw to my trees.
