Hey Christian,

I actually live about 3 minutes from the mouth of Provo Canyon myself. This particular stone was collected in Rock Canyon of all places. There is AWESOME suiseki hunting up there--much better than the Provo River. And for a lot of the year the river bed is actually dry so it makes it easy to poke around.

I too feel your pain regarding places to find decent bonsai nearby. I have purchased nursery stock from Sun River Gardens in Orem a couple times and at certain times of the year they sell bonsai (Chinese Elm and Fukien Tea and the like).
