Detail work

Ordinarily,I don't do too much detail work on my trees.Mostly I clip and grow, clip and grow and chop and grow and clip.Sometimes,I'll wire a few branches, but not often and almost never neatly .

My excuse?......I'm the only one who sees tham .And,I enjoy the growing and planning and just looking enough to keep me busy. But,I have to say that I have been inspired by some of the threads in here...Grampz,Dale.Hans,Wes,Brian,Al and others, thankyou for pushing the boundaries for me.

But,I know myself ....and I could slip back into my lazy, easy, complacent ways unless I put myself in a spot where someone else will hold me accountable. So,I post this tree(like the other) BEFORE I start to do the work. That way,I hAve to finish it or embarrass myself(which I may do anyway .....no guts,no glory.

So here's another one.

nerifolia,appx.18" tall,24" wide......I don't know how old it is,but I grew it from a cutting and a few years ago the top froze out of it...see Dale, that kind of stuff happens here too~L~.I'll start today......or tomorrow....or

The first pic is what I have considered the front. The second is the "back".But any dissenting opinions are welcome. The third is a closer look at the base(front view).

here goes,

andy
