Rich, your looking at roots packed in moss, a tight bun. I go out and put on more moss 2 or 3 times as the roots get exposed. It's a harsh enviroment, the only living thing I ever see are Nene, the state bird. http://tinyurl.com/l3mgb And yet, 20 minutes away where I live is a cool pristine rainforest. So these trees think the're in heaven when they get here.
