Hi Tom,
I looked at this tree for quite some time and tried to envisage a future for it. My eye is constantly drawn to the straightness of the trunks and the lack of taper, especially in the right hand one.
Personally I think these need cutting back hard on both trunks to get some taper introduced as well as some movement. Its a shame that lower limb was removed on the main trunk, as that possibly would have been an ideal place to chop back too.
You could go about developing a canopy as it stands at the moment, but I think you'd end up with a mediocre bonsai at best, which would be a shame as the twin trunk style could work very well here.
