Being a geek, I should go for a bat belt... but at the moment I only use a tool box to store my tools wrapped in an oiled rough cloth. When I'm going to use them, I just take what I need and fill the side pockets of my jeans or bermudas. They can hold most of the kit without any problem and the tools don't move.
