If you were in Ellis then you probably drove past my house (if you were on I-70). I grew up not far from Ellis (45 miles) and a couple things came to mind. We used to say there's pretty woman behind every tree (of course you having been there you know how many trees there are out there!) and it's not the end of the earth -- but you can see if from here.

Having lived in NE Kansas for the past 30 years there are times when I do miss the flatlands. Enjoy your visit.
