I recently dug a couple of small forsythia from the yard....they have just not done well for the past several years (about 10-12 actually). They seem to have transplanted well - they were sited in deep shade and just survived in the ground - never really thrived - so when the wife said "maybe we should consider planting something else ..." - I was out and at work
Anyway, the cultivar is Forsythia suspensa var. Seiboldii (Weeping forsythia) - it has nice small leaves.
