Yes, the ones I took came off of the mound you see that has been cleared. The picture of the mound with all the junipers still on it is a different corner of the building, but is pretty much exactly what the mound I collected from looked like before the backhoe got a hold of it. Unfortunately they are only reworking that one corner of the building so the other mounds are off limits for any collecting.

I really felt like a bonsai freak when I went up and talked to the guys, but they were really nice and had no problem with me taking a few. As I said in the original post one of the guys actually helped me dig up the two I collected.

I didn't get a lot of the rootball for these guys so I did trim the top back to try and better balance the top growth with the root mass I was able to save. I actually cut about 3 feet off of the first juniper collected.

I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for more opportunities like this.
