Hey folks,
Here is what happened to me last weekend.
I was out at my hoop house, it's on my mom and her husbands land, "playing" with my trees.
Anyway, I was going about my business, then my mom's husband showedup with a truck full of collected trees that he collected in northern wisconsin.
This peaked my intrest, so I went to investigate.
He had around 30 larch and 50 or so other assorted trees.
He says "Paul lookie what I got here."
He went on to tell me about the collecting trip, he plans on planting them all in various locations throughout the 100 or so acres.
Then he says, too bad that Larch are no good for bonsai, I quickly chimed in and said they are very good for bonsai.
Long story short, he starts rumagibg around in the back of the truck, pulls out a tree and say "When I saw this half dead tree I thought of you."
So I now have a collected American Larch.

Planted it in an old honey bee hive box (I have about 100 of them, they make great grow boxes.).
