Thank you - it really IS a nice one - and very reasonably priced too I thought. I never indicated how big it is so I just went outside and took down the vitals:
Height : 30cm (12inches)
Trunk circumference: 20cm (8inches).

I suspect that it'll be getting repotted out of that tough plastic thing it's in now. It appears to be potted in pure sharp sand covered in a layer of granite grit. Should have bought a new pot for it while I was there...damn. Would have been pushing my luck I think.

There's a good reason it's here in Holland - we have the worlds largest flower and plant auctions (which sells 20 million flowers and plants every day...) and it's situated very close to Europe's largest tree and shrub nurserys located just a few kilometers away in Boskoop.

I was chatting with the owner and he said they have busses full of bonsai enthusiasts travelling to him from all over Europe; it's only 1500km to Italy! (900 miles)
