Thanks nigel, I have been to the site before and I prepped by seeds last fall before leaving them out to break their germination inhibition. I collect those seeds from campus (about 100 of them) from female trees we had that were accidentally, I hope, planted. Most were picked off the ground as they dropped since the branches were too high to reach by hand.
As for the ginkgo nut availible at the chinese market, I saw a HUGE bin last week I was there for about $4 a pound, I feel bad for the poor guy having to pick all those sticky seeds
