Sakari, I would prep branch just like a regular air-layer, put hormone on the cut and bury it making sure it's always moist. It would be even better if you dig a hole and fill it with a loose free draining medium like perlite, pumice, etc. this way there would be no danger of overwatering which would cause rot. Weight the branch down with a rock and keep the end of the branch from moving in the wind by tying to a post.
