If it were mine I would keep the same front. I would lean the tree forward and to the right slightly with a guy wire. I would take off old needles that were hanging straight down. then I would trim any junction that has three leaders down to two, and pray for back budding . then water and organic fertilizer. Then reevauate next winter, when it is in healthier condition.
