Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Blue Moss'

Just wanted to share the latest transition for this tree...I posted it in the gallery last year. I really like the species but it is difficult and time-consuming to work with, in that it requires constant pinching , coupled with thinning out of the interior branching to help prevent dieback - all because it is reluctant to bud back on old wood, if at all.
I find that the periodic addition of a little magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) to my fertilizer mix during the growing season really helps to bring out the pretty blue color of the foliage. The tree's current height is 25 inches from the soil line.

Regards,
Tom S.
