I have found a good rule of thumb for portecting most tropicals in our area is when the temps are below 40 degrees F. carry them in...However, I often leave mine out even if we have 38 or 39 forecast because it usually does not stay that cold even for a full hour...It quite often reaches the overnight cold just before daybreak and begins to warm back up almost instantly...By the way, the neriifolia can stand lower temperatures than many of the tropical trees we use as bonsai without damage...Just to be on the safe side though, 40 degrees is a good standard...
