Of course you can try, but from the pictures it appears that the trees in the first post don't have much potential. There are rather long, straight untapered lengths. The ones in the final 2 attachments might have more possibilities.

I collected a few Tam Junipers from a hedgerow beside the garage. They all relocated okay and I used them for some plants in a Japanese style garden. Two of about a dozen were suitable for bonsai training, but I haven't done much with them. The wood is very brittle and the foliage is kind of feathery and doesn't respond very well to pinching.

Any idea what variety you have there?
