Is there a type of "bonsai" material that you avoid simply because it does not appeal to you?

I'm not very interested in Portulacaria or natal plum.

The point of this thread isn't to thrash the reputation of any species; rather, just the opposite. Perhaps through discussion I will gain a greater appreciation for underrated types of trees.
