Joseph, below is a copy of a post I made yesterday to the same question you are asking:

I've used Dyna-gro products for many years, including their KLN rooting hormone solution. I've rooted large hardwood cuttings such as boxwood and silverberry cuttings 2 inches and more in diameter.
I will soak the cutting in the recommended dilution for 1 to 2 weeks before planting. Then I'll continue to water the cutting with the solution for a month or so. I've had a very high success rate with large hardwood cuttings. Check the link for more info.
