By the way, I've found that by letting my Ash soak in the sink for about 10 minutes with the water level just above the rim of the base, seems to the be working. My ash is looking very perky the last couple of days since I took the advice here and applied it. I no longer bring it in and out. It just sits on the table on my patio and I bring it in to water it. It was close to freezing last night, but the cold doesn't appear to bother it at all.
