Thumbs up The best of BONSAI in Europe 5

Hi everybody,
This weekend i was at the Noelanders trophy in Belgium and bought one of the first "THE BEST OF BONSAI IN EUROPE 5" books hot from the presses! Every other year it is a long time for me to wait until it is for sail, so i was very surprised that they were able to print it so quickly to offer it for the first time to the public at this mayor event!
The book is extra thick (208 pages) this time because this 2005 edition was the 10 years aneversury of this ground breaking event.
The level of the bonsai in this book is even better than in the earlier ones! It is nice to see that there is a nice balance now between the traditional bonsai and the Europion bonsai, this was to be expacted because they just needed some more time to mature!
And allthough that the emphasis of this event is still one of the Japanese/traditional way is the better way to go when you style your bonsai, i do not think that this is true any longer and should not be any longer used as a argument. It is simply not true !
The book is absolutly beautiful, the quality off the paper and pictures are great! And i for one find it a great honer to have two of my bonsai in there for the world to see!
There is only one point of critique: some of the photo are shoot from a to low angle, this works out very nice some time in big Acers or forest plantings because you can look untherneeth there canape/branches witch gives a nice mystirious feeling to the shoot, but on other pics it is a bid disturbing when you are looking at a bonsai from a lower angle than that the artist had in mind when he created his bonsai! But i bow my head, knowing that Farrand Bloch did a amazing job shooting so much bonsai in such a short time unther all that presure!
So dont get me wrong: this is a very very good book, with very very good bonsai, showed in one off the best bonsai shows outside off Japan!
Well don Danny Use for your unique show , well don Farrand Bloch and Rene Rooswinkel with this amazing book and well don all those great artist that have made it in to this book!
I would like to take this opertunity to say: you want to have this book!
