I suppose I will wait until spring, that way I can hope to separate the following fall (if all goes well). I will then do one at a time, because you are right, I don't have much experience. I have successfully layered several plants but I can count them on a hand and a half - and never a maple.
As far as posting a picture...I'm still stuck in the eighties! I don't have a digital camera. Maybe it's time to get with the new millenium.
