Hi Jess,

You've taken all the reasonable steps. *IMHO, the depth of your problem warrants a 100% preventive malathion application on all your non-edible plants.

Keep in mind that these insecticides are non-discriminatory, and will kill beneficial insects as well as harmful pests. *I have not used the DIP method discussed in the article, but have had good success with spray application according to package directions. *You really need to thoroughly drench the foliage.

If you do spray, use a dedicated spray bottle (they can be had at the drugstore for a dollar or two) and label it well with the date and prior contents so you won't be using it for something else later.
