About a month ago the Sales Dept presented me with a large Fukien Tea Tree as a thank you gift. This week I discovered that it's leaves are sticky and so is the pot rim and surrounding area on the shelf. It appears to have aphids. I remembered something about Fukien's being sensitive to pesticides I haven't sprayed it with anything stronger than a hard spray of water.

What's the best way to treat a Fukien for pests? Is Safer's Soap insecticide safe, or should I mix up a sprayer of alcohol/water & a little dish soap?
