The root over rock section of this tree, with the adjacent aerial roots are very cool. My problem with this tree is the total lack of definition in the canopy. This tree should have nice wide spreading canopy. While the actual shape of the canopy is close to what I think it should be, it is comprised of a couple of thick, tuber like branches sticking straight up.
I think these large branches should be cut back some to allow for smaller sub-branching to begin establishing a more appealing spreading apex. Whatever remnants of these branches remain will likely have to be obscured by foliage.
It's gonna be a neat bonsai.
