I agree with what was said by Aaron. The at least the tree will continue to appease someone else for artistic reasons and all is not gone to waste. This past semester I made a lost wax aluminum casting of a Ficus Retusa that unfortunately was neglected by parents when I studied abroad for three months. The main trunk of the tree now stands in aluminum and I added some other branches and human-like qualities were added with the wax. I believe that doing a cast will at least permanently preserve the Retusa in its days of glory.
