I have to have an area where I can moderate sun exposure to some extent. Summer here is very intense, so some trees cannot cope with full sun exposure for more than a couple of hours.

Judicious use of space, and benches that can be easily reconfigured mean that trees can be quartered in a number of differing configurations.

The renovations we did this year mean I can put valuable trees up on a deck, well above ground level, with no access to the ground.
