You can see with this one here in the link what I am doing with basic garden trees is starting with the root work and also giving them a quick clipping.As they are already set up for broom types from there I will keep using mostly guy wires to pull the branches down lower and lower.Then I can keep clipping back to get the deired shape of the crown,while new foliage and little twigs grow in.I can then wire movement along the branch lines that have been pulled down.Will be counting on magic or something for a good root spread to develope sometime aswell.To bad I can never find a nest of 50 year old elms to try this with.
