First whatever tone I used that sounded angry, I tried to negate by assuring you that I value your input. You've helped me more than I've probably thanked you for. My response to the first quote above was tempered with the supposed understanding that you hadn't read my suggestion (which I take was correct seeing that you say you went back and read...). The air and light from
in-ground growing wouldn't be enough to prune roots as the above quote suggested . You went to the trouble of answering something when you hadn't even seen what the question was. This has happened a few times (not by you) to me so I wanted to stress that your reply wasn't validated.
I also want to point out (though you'll have to search if you want to actually find it because I don't have the time) that
I MYSELF (pardon the redundancy) first brought to light the possibility that my hypothesis of the roots being severed by the plastic could very well be faulty. I'm well aware of roots' frenzy to survive, and in so doing breaking thru barriers in their way. I've been a victim of tree roots growing thru sewer pipes.
