Hi Wes, I mean no disrespect but that statement to me sounded somewhat grandiose. Irregardless of the age and stature of the tree it's owner obviously wanted constructive criticism. Donating it to a raffle is IMO not constructive criticism. Now your second critique in replying to my post is constructive and not only to the point but right on. But to say you are "sick of bad trees after eight years"? Eight years and you are still an infant when it comes to Bonsai yet your statement came across to me as though you think you are a master. If I took it the wrong way I sincerely apologize. I have never thought of you as the type of person to say it's my way or it is the wrong way and I'm sorry you got that feeling. Once again, it just sounded to me like you were grandstanding. I have, in the short time I've been here, respected your knowledge and the information you have passed on to the forum in your posts but for some reason that quote struck me in a bad way. It could be the media in which it was presented, after all I think we both know that words can be misconstrued on an internet forum. I'm sorry for disrupting this thread, I thought about PMing my response but since the question was presented in the forum I figured I would reply here as well. If this is out of line I would hope the mods will remove it.
