Question Gingko Style? Can you cut a wedge on a branch of a boxwood?

Some feedback so far:
1. A virtual from zen
2. ID not a kingsville, but a Japanese Boxwood (like the label says by Repotter
3. Clean the interior by Repotter (I will do)
4. Keep what you like, get reed of what you don't by Soonamy

Gingko Style Boxwood

What should I do?:

I think that as a first step for my boxwood I would try to make it as close as this particular boxwood (charles). To do this I would have to take a couple of lower small branches off, and cut a wedge on one of the thee branches (or trunks?) that start at about one inch from the dirt level.

Is this something I can do? can I cut a wedge and then bring this branch down about 25 degree?

Thanks
