007: I know what you mean about dissectums this year - literally an overnight color change, following by leaf drop. I love working with this cultivar and thanks for your kind words...one word of caution - I never leaf prune this cultivar - I was told this many years ago by many learned artists (Vance Wood for one). I only remove overly long shoots occasionally, and during leaf out in the spring I always pinch the center buds in leaf clusters...don't mean to be forward or pushy...
